Odi et Amo: is it possible to experience two such contrasting feelings (love and hate) at the same time? Where does love come from? And How to live it with passion?
If we ask this questions to today’s society, based on cultural homologation and the generalized flattening of emotions, it will make it a means to profit. Probably it t will offer us the course, the book, the definitive therapeutic session that will easily answer all our questions.
But the truth is different and it took several centuries to be brought to light. Gaius Catullus called “the poet of love” suggests an answer : “Love is seeing what others do not see, feeling what others do not feel, living every moment intensely”
Setting sail with a private motorboat from the pier of Sirmione, we will head towards the caves of Catullus where legend tells us the great poet still lives. Thanks to the live musical performance of a great artist, we will evoke him. Attracted by the music, Catullus himself, still dressed in his elegant Roman clothes, will appear before us and thank us by offering us his precious wine.
This unique Sirmione tour combines poetry, history, and immersive performance to create an unforgettable experience on Lake Garda.
Then he will accompany us through the places that inspired his art and unleashed his passions. He will recite his poems for us, telling us about the creative process that gave rise to them and he will tell us everything about the passion to which he dedicated all his art: love.
The day can only end by celebrating with some good Italian wine while a professional sommelier will teach the principles of wine tasting. Followed by an aperitif in which the Italian chef will talk about the origins of his great passion for cooking, explain the preparations made and tell how in Italian cuisine local ingredients are used to enhance the food and wine heritage and create unforgettable dishes.
